Re-Framing a Building for Garage Door Installation

A Two Car Garage with Different Garage Doors

One of the things that's sort of unique about this particular garage door here is the challenge Door Pros is facing in installing a door on that left side. This is a two car garage, meant for two vehicles to park into. The owner had only used half for that purpose. The right side of this two-door garage is an overhead door, but the left is not. It's a swing door.

Transforming the Swing Door to an Overhead Garage

Because it's a swing door, it's not framed out for any garage door overhangs at all. Door Pros went in and removed those slabs and then we frame the opening to match the right-hand side of the door that has an overhang. 

We put in an overhead door for the convenience factor to pull a car in that side now. We framed it up where they can now paint that red and white to be identical to the right-hand side.
